Too Hot or Too Cold

Would you rather be too hot or too cold?

I'd rather be too cold. The way I see it, you can always put on more layers. Sweaters, hats, scarves, wool socks. And if, by some chance, you're sporting your whole wardrobe and are still cold, you can always build a fire. Or crank up the thermostat.

The problem with hot weather is there is only so much you can take off. And I'm just not someone comfortable walking around in teeny-tiny tops and short-shorts. I just don't like that much of me hangin' out. 'Course there's a lot more of me than some people. LOL! But still, what do you do on a hot day, when you're stripped down as far as God and decency will allow and you're still sweating?? What then? That's the thing I don't like about hot weather - sweat. Ick. There's nothing worse than chasing three boys around in the stifling heat all sweaty, sticky and smelly. Gross. It just makes me plain cranky.

Now, all that whining aside, good friends of ours (surrogate grandparents to our children) have a in-ground, heated, outdoor pool...that they let us use whenever we so wish. It makes those unbearable days bearable. So, you may not be hearing from me as often. I'll be poolside, relaxing, soaking up the sun...and jumping in the water when I feel sufficiently baked. :-)

I am ALWAYS cold... even when it's 70 degrees out, as it is now. I am wearing a flannel shirt and socks.

So... I'd far prefer to be too hot. It's the only time my marrow isn't frozen.

We've missed you around LASR... and in the general blogosphere. Glad to see you're still around! :-)

I prefer the cold, too. Except for when I'm at the beach or by the pool. Then I prefer it warm/hot, but still not hot/hot. lol

I've spent too much time in the barn in the winter to appreciate cold like I did when I was a kid. I decided I'm gonna die in a warm place, even if it's my bed, with the heated mattress pad. Otherwise...I used to get a lot of reading done when I took my kids to my parents' pool! Yay for poolsideness!

I like hot over cold. I like it because I don't like to wear socks and shoes. I also like to wearing shorts, capris, skirts and anything that doesn't confine me.
