No Boys Allowed! Keep Out!

Okay, it's not as if boys can't go beyond this point, but I felt it only right to give the male gender a fair warning. This post is all about shopping! Yes, old-fashioned, girly-girl talk. I had a surprisingly successful shopping trip and I want to blab about it. As a size....well let's just say I'm not a size 6, happy shopping is not something I come by very often. At least I don't always have the best of luck with clothes. LOL!

Anyways, yesterday I went looking for a shirt to wear to this family wedding on Saturday. I have this great pair of pin-striped dress pants with this cuff on the bottom that I'm getting hemmed. They're a loose leg with a pleat down the center. Very cute. Well, I managed to find two lace-trimmed camisoles (one green and one white), a gorgeous black cardigan sweater and this funky black and white dress shirt. SUCCESS! And all in the first store I tried!

Then it was off to find shoes. I've been looking for a new pair of running shoes. I wanted something funky, yet neutral enough to go with anything. Today I hit the jackpot! I found the shoes I've been wanting. I took one look at them and it was love-at-first-sight! And in my size!! They are so comfortable!

*sigh* Yeah, it was a good day!

thank you for wanting to look great for Glen's wedding. I appreciate that very much but am so sorry that I didn't notice all your new stuff. I was so happy to see all of "dick's kids" . (I didn't want to use your maiden name because of the blog sight). I had a great time as well, maybe not as happy with my new outfit because I had to buy it in a few sizes larger than I wanted to - I hadn't quite reached my goat of losing 50 lbs before the big day - I actually gained i belive but am no longer going near my weigh scale - just don't believe it is correct and accurate because in my mind I am only 115 lbs and always will be. LOL ha ha. It scares me when I see my picture - I can't see my face through all those double chins!!

love for now

Oh dm, you are TOO funny!! I thought you looked stunning! But I hear you about buying sizes a couple bigger than you anticipate! LOL! Those wonderful pants I mentioned....yeah, a couple sizes bigger than I thought I needed. But they look good and are comfortable, so I just avoid reading the tag! And, um, I don't own a scale. It's just something I never acquired after I married. I enjoy being in denial, so I don't think I'll be buying one anytime soon! LOL! And there's a good reason I don't like my picture taken - the image captured is a stranger! LOL!

Miss, you just beat me buy a few minutes! LOL! But, I'm baaaaack!

I know this is late for this comment but the business kept me from coming up with anything to say. However, dm's comments are just what I needed this morning. Think it's because I can relate. LOL Those weigh scales are such a problem to own. I'm not sure who came up with that invention but it sure wasn't a great one. And dm your right cause they just don't seem to be accurate.LOL Mine always are out and not just by a few pounds but by lots.LOL Oh, and pictures, well camera's should not have been invented either. I simply try to avoid them. Now there's an exercise program for you.LOL
