Excuses, excuses, excuses. Seems that's all I'm writing these days. But the truth is, this day has just passed far too quickly. Not that I'm complaining...I'm watching the clock, waiting for it to get to 8:00 so I can put the kiddos to bed.
My hubby left town yesterday. No, he hasn't run out on me. LOL! He had to go away for work for a while. I'm not sure how long he'll be gone - anywhere from 5 to 8 days. *sigh* I'm kinda used to having him around. :-) And those hours between end-of-nap and bedtime, when the baby's tired and cranky and wanting to be held...yeah, those are long hours.
You know the worst of it? My DH took the laptop with him! Grrr. Okay, it is a work laptop that work paid for, but I was getting used to the luxury of sitting in my big comfy chair and blogging. And I was getting spoiled having the convenience of the internet literally at my fingertips, whether cooking supper, relaxing on the couch or lying in bed. Kinda sucks to have to sit at a computer desk again. Okay, that's beginning to sound a little spoiled. :-) But you know what I mean.
Anyways, today I decided to get out of the house and go for an Italian soda. Those are the drinks that have the flavorings of your choice, ice, club soda, whipped cream and a cherry on top. It's how I drown my sorrows. Well, that or chocolate. LOL!
So, what did you do today? Something fun and spontaneous? Wild and crazy? Same old, same old? Or were you just passing time, watching the clock until you could say "Yes, another day accomplished"?

Banking, Grocery Shoping (ouch), letters, and a start at the taxes. All blah and glad the days mainly over.
One neat thing is that DH & I are reading through the Chronicles of Narnia (we started through our summer travles & read the first 3 books). Tonight was the first time reading since the summer & it was quite relaxing. I just layed down on my special pillow, closed my eyes, and dreamed. That was my day. Blah but ending good.
Hang in there these next days without hubby. If you need anything, I'm too far away ... but I have family that's closer that I volunteer. Did you say you need help decluttering? LOL :-)

DD had a fun day with a friend -- and so did I, since I like DD's friend's mom! Off to the park, Wendy's for lunch, a little gardening (for said friend's mom), home again, home again...
A long day, but a good one.
Happy weekend!
Right now, which is Friday, I'm sitting here at my desk at work wondering how I'm going to fill the rest of my day. I'm dreading tonight though - packing up my entire house so that tomorrow we can move everything and clean. I can't wait to get everything moved but I'm dreading the actual moving. Oh well, it's all good - and the end product will make it well worth it.
So I just read over what I wrote - not very up lifting, is it? Meh. I thankful it's Friday.
Shar
at, bless your giving heart! That you would offer me the cleaning services of your family members is so sweet! LOL! I just might plan a work day and call in the favors. :-)
Marianne, I love days spent with friends. They can be long and busy, but worth it. I can't wait for summer days, swimming, picnics...it's going to be great. Busy, but great!
Shar, I understand. I'm determined to remain where I am, simply because I can't stand all the work and cleaning involved in moving. Can you say stress? Yeah, I'm thankful it's Friday, too. The kiddies are headed for a sleepover at the grandparents tomorrow. YIPEE!
