Big Moments

So there you have it. A big day in the life of a kid. He lost his first tooth yesterday. His Grandpa yanked it out for him after mom and dad's many failed attempts.

I realized something last night. I make a lousy Tooth Fairy. I forgot to put the money under his pillow and he woke up sobbing at 2:30 a.m. I sat up in bed, looked at the clock and went, "Oh NO! Chad wake up!"

Like the bad fairy I am, I made him get up and settle Connor down. Once he was back to sleep, I gave Chad the money to slip under his pillow.

The good thing was he didn't realize I had forgotten. He woke up because his eye was sore (no idea why) and he never thought to peek. So this morning when he finally did look, there was a nice, shiny coin lying in wait. He came bounding into my bedroom, excited and thanking me and saying how wonderful I was.

Being the honest, good person that I am, I looked at him and said, "Thank you." Hey, I'll take what I can get.

LOL!!! I once wrote a lovely letter to Katie with glitter and everything explaining there had been an unusually large volume of lost teeth the night before so I wasn't able to make all the rounds.

She bought it because I'm the Queen of Malarky, or something like that.

LOl! I am sure that when I have kids, I will become the worst tooth fairy. I am so forgetful.

I may have to make up a new story, one where the tooth fairy has a grace period of... 30 days.

I can't believe how grown up my nephew is getting. Pretty soon he'll be playing drums for the worship team , and swinging a club with his favorite uncle. What a cool kid you have. i'm looking forward to seeing all my nephews and nieces this weekend.

So cute! My twins lost their first tooth on the same day and the same tooth! Made for a picture rather similiar to that, except with two very pleased smiles exposing gaping holes to see through. Haha.
Life goes so fast.

They just don't come any cuter than that.
As for the tooth fairy act, you'll have to try a little harder to beat your Dad on that one. You'll have to kick over the lego bucket and have him sit up and say "caught you Dad", or in your case Mom.

What a cutie!

LOL! "...And the tooth fairy squeaked into home plate in just the nick of time!"

Hope your little guy is doing better soon!

TMW - Thanks. We certainly think so. And thanks for the chat last week.

His Girl - You'll have to share your stories. ;-)

Jenster - LOL! Okay, you're certainly more creative than me.

Deb - Oooh, I like that. I may borrow it.

Anon - He asked me the other day when I was going to take the cover off his drums. He's anxious to get playing again. Or in his words, "I need to practice."

Sarah - If I could stop time, I WOULD! And Erin's on to #2? Awesome!

Lisa - We think he's cute. And we probably tell him that a little too often. He takes it all in stride now saying, "Yeah, I know."

S4J - That would have been a GREAT picture.

Airingon - That was classic. He'll never live it down.

Becky - LOL! The Tooth Fairy nudged and prodded her other half to get out of bed and do the deed. Tee,hee. And, yeah, Kolten is doing SO much better. Thanks for the prayers!

His Girl - Done.
