Fun in the Sun

Hey everyone! Yes, I'm actually blogging from the resort in Costa Rica. Why you ask? Because my hubby is sick in bed. A little combination of too much sun and not enough sunscreen. He's taking a minute to enjoy the dark, air-conditioned room and I'm having fun trying to type on a Spanish computer keyboard. Did you know that things are moved around? Buttons are not where I'm expecting them to be and I can get all kinds of cool accent marks. Here are a few:

It's an experience for sure.

Anyways, I don't have much time but I've taken a ton of photos and will have some edited and ready to post shortly after I get back. So far we have drove through the mountains, been to the carribbean coast, swam in the ocean, walked/horseback rode through unsettled rainforest, experienced enormous ocean waves up close and personal, seen a volcano (mostly), eaten a variety of yummy new dishes, relaxed in the hotsprings and so much more. Now we are at the resort - Barcelo Playa Tambor, for those interested in Googling it - and are enjoying being catered to. All you can eat, drink and do. Tomorrow we are planning to try some of the activities which include water kayaking. We'll see how that goes.

Well, I've gotta head back to the room and wake up my hubby. We're planning to take in the live show tonight. Later!

sounds like you're having a wonderful time -- remind DH the sun is strong down there! LOL...

Enjoy, and we'll "see" you (and your pictures) when you get back.

Sounds fabulous! Think your in a better place than here. Got some snow on the ground last night and ice on the roads today.
If I had to choose I'd pick where you are, being waited on and lying in the sun.
Glad your getting a chance to do so many different things. Looking forward to hearing the details when you get back.
Everyone in this household says Hi! and there are 3 anxious boys counting the days til their Mommy comes home.

Update: Hubby was feeling better by morning and we enjoyed a full day of relaxing and fun. And his sunburn (which turned out not to be so bad) is turning into a great tan. The vain side of me is extremely jealous. ;-)

We'll be heading to San Jose tomorrow and flying home on Tuesday.

Now, I'm gonna go enjoy all the wonderful luxuries while I still can. Later! :-)

Did you REALLY bring your computer with you, or is this the hotel's computer? (I say that as if it were a bad thing! I probably would!) Are you doing any reading? Is the weather fabulous? Looking forward to pictures!!!

Deb - It WAS wonderful! :-)

Jenster - Hubby said he wants to preview any pictures I'm planning to post. I think after last time, he doesn't trust me. ;-)

Swishy - It was our first real vacation in 8 years. I wonder what the next 8 years will bring. :-)

Jen - He recovered the next day and we enjoyed the rest of our vacation.

Katybug - No, we bought an internet card at the resort and I had to type on a Spanish keyboard. Weird experience. Though, I'll be honest in saying I was tempted to bring mine along and might have if I wouldn't have had to cart it all over the Dallas airport.

Barb - *Gasp* I'm not that kind of girl. I don't kiss and tell. ;-)
