The bacon, eggs, cheese, cream sauce...yum! And if you close your eyes when you eat it, you can almost forget that there's lettuce in it. I'd send you some, but by the time it got there it'd be not-so-appetizing brown sludge, rotten eggs and mouldy cheese. I don't even want to imagine how curdled the sauce would be.Shaunahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18168454800095568360noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8735684183136823085.post-80611259671503919972007-10-11T13:42:00.000-06:002007-10-11T13:42:00.000-06:00Yes, salad. It's a beautiful thing.

As soon as I read the opening line "It is a dark and stormy night ..." my mind was teleported back to that same slueth game. I spent hours playing. You think my name sounds ...Becky, you are too kind. You think my name sounds like a Rock Star's?? LOL! Thanks! And on top you compared it to Gwen Stefani and Michael Buble. That's a high honor...even just for the name. ;-) And that opening line I stole from an old computer game back when DOS was the program. It was called Sleuth and was basically the game Clue, where you had to figure out the weapon, the room and who committed the murder. If you took too long, the game would say the murderer was stalking you. And if you happened to go into a room alone, you would be killed. Sounds gruesome, but really you were just a little rectangle on the screen. :-) Good times.

Marianne, it totally counts! In fact, I think I should celebrate America's holiday as well. It's another day for feasting. ;-) And thanks for your kind comments. I write when I feel inspired or when I get a crazy line going through my head. In this case the line was, "He was laying there naked, legs apart, vulnerable and so close," to describe a turkey on a platter. Thought it might shock my mother. LOL!Shaunahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18168454800095568360noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8735684183136823085.post-61643849526581218812007-10-09T12:07:00.000-06:002007-10-09T12:07:00.000-06:00Yanno, I need to start celebrating Canadian Thanks...Yanno, I need to start celebrating Canadian Thanksgiving, too. I know enough folks from Canada... it should count. Right?

LOL on the story. Well done! But then, I suppose there's always room for that, too: Shauna Sturge, the world's first ever Romantic Suspense author and Rock Star... ;0)

Seriously...that intro at the top of your post would be a good hook for a story! You've got what it takes, girl!

And MMmmmmm...Thanksgiving. Can't wait! I suddenly have a craving for a piece of pumpkin pie...Beckyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03362618797920704090noreply@blogger.com
